  • 3 green onions (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 12 oz wontons
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Chili oil (homemade)

Instructions

  1. Make the chili oil by combining red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, minced garlic, ginger, sugar, and salt in a heat-safe bowl. Heat neutral oil until hot and pour over the mixture. Stir and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, melt coconut oil over medium heat. Add the white parts of green onions, garlic, and ginger; sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the broth and bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add wontons along with soy sauce and simmer until heated through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with dark green onion tops and drizzled with chili oil.
