- 1 box Yellow or Spice Cake Mix (15.25 oz)
- 1 cup apple cider (not juice or vinegar)
- ½ cup applesauce (preferably cinnamon flavored)
- 3 large eggs
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cinnamon (for topping)
- ¼ cup sugar (for topping)
- ¼ cup melted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, apple cider, applesauce, and eggs until smooth.
- Mix in cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla until well incorporated.
- Pour the batter into a greased bundt pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar for the topping.
- Brush cooled cake with melted butter and coat with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
