- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 cups quick-cook grits
- 8 oz smoked Gouda, shredded
- 8 oz sharp cheddar, shredded
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup Half & Half
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, combine chicken broth and minced garlic, bringing it to a simmer.
- Gradually whisk in quick-cook grits and stir continuously until thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Stir in smoked Gouda and sharp cheddar until melted. Mix in butter until fully incorporated.
- Add Half & Half, beaten eggs, salt, and pepper; stir well.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-45 minutes until set and slightly golden on top.
