  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili garlic sauce (adjust to heat preference)
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and apple vinegar for about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix together ketchup, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, and cornstarch-water in a bowl to create the sauce.
  3. Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Sear marinated beef for about 2 minutes until browned.
  4. Add bell peppers, onion, and garlic; stir-fry for another 3–4 minutes until veggies are tender yet crisp.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fry and gently mix until everything is evenly coated and bubbling (about 2–3 minutes).
