Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili garlic sauce (adjust to heat preference)
- 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and apple vinegar for about 10 minutes.
- Mix together ketchup, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili garlic sauce, and cornstarch-water in a bowl to create the sauce.
- Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Sear marinated beef for about 2 minutes until browned.
- Add bell peppers, onion, and garlic; stir-fry for another 3–4 minutes until veggies are tender yet crisp.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fry and gently mix until everything is evenly coated and bubbling (about 2–3 minutes).
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
