  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and arrange saltine crackers.
  2. In a saucepan, melt unsalted butter and light brown sugar over medium heat until boiling. Pour over crackers and bake for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Brown additional unsalted butter in a saucepan until golden and fragrant.
  4. Combine flour and baking soda in a bowl. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients, then fold in cooled toffee pieces.
  5. Chill the dough for 2 hours before forming it into balls and baking at 350°F for 8-10 minutes.
