- 1 tablespoon maraschino cherry juice
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
- 24 Hershey kisses (for topping)
- Optional: 2 ounces chocolate chips (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the maraschino cherry juice and almond extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour and mix until fully incorporated, then fold in the chopped cherries.
- Use a cookie scoop to form balls of dough, roll them in sugar, and place them on the prepared baking tray.
- Chill the cookie dough balls in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes before baking.
- Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
- After removing from the oven, gently press a Hershey Kiss into each cookie while warm.
