Ingredients
- 1 box devil's food cake mix (plus ingredients as directed)
- 2 cups melted peanut butter
- 1 cup chopped peanut butter candies (like Reese’s)
- 1 cup Reese’s Pieces
- 1 cup peanut butter (for frosting)
- 10 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9"x13" baking pan with parchment paper, greasing it lightly.
- Prepare the cake batter following the package instructions and pour it into the prepared pan. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Once cooled, poke holes all over the cake using the back of a wooden spoon. Pour melted peanut butter over the surface, ensuring it fills the holes.
- To make the frosting, beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fluffy; add cream if necessary for consistency.
- Spread the frosting evenly over the cake and top with chopped candies.
