Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).

- Gradually whisk in chicken broth; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream until well mixed.
- Add chopped chicken and drained sauerkraut; mix well.
- Incorporate shredded Swiss cheese and dressing, stirring until cheese melts.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste; let simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with rye bread croutons and chopped parsley as garnish.
