Ingredients
- 400 g flour
- 7 g instant yeast
- 15 g granulated sugar
- 7 g salt
- 35 ml sunflower oil
- 225 ml water
- 40 g butter (for filling)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, and water. Mix well until combined.
- Knead the dough for 10-12 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, divide the dough into two pieces and roll each into a circle on a floured surface.
- Spread softened butter on one circle and place the second on top; cut into 12 triangles.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end towards the tip to shape them into croissants.
- Place them on a lined baking tray, brush with beaten egg, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
