Ingredients

  • 400 g flour
  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 15 g granulated sugar
  • 7 g salt
  • 35 ml sunflower oil
  • 225 ml water
  • 40 g butter (for filling)
  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, and water. Mix well until combined.
  2. Knead the dough for 10-12 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Once risen, divide the dough into two pieces and roll each into a circle on a floured surface.
  5. Spread softened butter on one circle and place the second on top; cut into 12 triangles.
  6. Roll each triangle from the wide end towards the tip to shape them into croissants.
  7. Place them on a lined baking tray, brush with beaten egg, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
