- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- For the topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
- Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and let rise covered for 1-2 hours or until doubled.
- Roll the risen dough into a rectangle and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon evenly over it before rolling tightly into a log and cutting into 12 pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
