  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • For the topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and let rise covered for 1-2 hours or until doubled.
  4. Roll the risen dough into a rectangle and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon evenly over it before rolling tightly into a log and cutting into 12 pieces.
  5. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
