  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 1 ¾ cups warm water
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast. Stir in olive oil and warm water until a sticky dough forms. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil. Transfer the dough into the pan and stretch gently to fill the edges. Let rest for another 30 minutes.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, gently heat remaining olive oil and add minced garlic with a pinch of salt. Cook until fragrant but not browned; set aside.
  4. Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough's surface. Drizzle with garlic oil, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and flaky sea salt.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
