- 1 cup dry orzo pasta
- 1 can (14 ounces) tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup beef stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 2 cups tightly packed fresh spinach leaves
- Salt and pepper (as needed)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced beef, diced onion, and garlic; cook until the beef is browned and onions are translucent.
- Stir in red pepper flakes and mixed Italian herbs; cook for an additional minute.
- Add dry orzo pasta, tomato sauce, beef stock, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce; combine well.
- Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until orzo is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Fold in grated parmesan cheese and fresh spinach; season with salt and pepper to taste.
