  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 8 ounces raspberries

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, mix heavy cream, whole milk, and 1 cup of sugar. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves (5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let it cool completely.
  2. Blend raspberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar and strain through a fine mesh sieve to create smooth raspberry puree.
  3. Pour cooled cream mixture into an ice cream maker and churn until soft serve consistency is achieved.
  4. Divide the churned base into three parts; mix one part with orange juice and food coloring for the orange layer, another part with lime juice for the lime layer.
  5. In a container, layer raspberry puree and the flavored mixes alternately. Cover tightly and freeze for 4-6 hours until firm.
