- 2 cups (4 sticks / 454 g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans
Instructions
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F and turns dark amber (about 35-45 minutes).
- Pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Allow chocolate chips to soften on top for 1-2 minutes, then spread evenly.
- Sprinkle finely chopped pecans over the melted chocolate and gently press them in.
- Let the toffee cool at room temperature for about an hour until set.
- Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!
