  • 2 cups (4 sticks / 454 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F and turns dark amber (about 35-45 minutes).
  3. Pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Allow chocolate chips to soften on top for 1-2 minutes, then spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle finely chopped pecans over the melted chocolate and gently press them in.
  6. Let the toffee cool at room temperature for about an hour until set.
  7. Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!
