Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and butter. Add the sliced onions with sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook until caramelized (about 20 minutes), then stir in balsamic vinegar and thyme.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface, cut into squares, top with caramelized onions and goat cheese, then bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
