- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- Optional: chili flakes for heat
- For garnishing: green onions and sesame seeds
Instructions
- Gently wipe mushrooms with a damp cloth; avoid rinsing to preserve flavor.
- Slice mushrooms into uniform pieces.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender.
- In a small bowl, mix miso paste and soy sauce with warm water to form a smooth sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the sautéed mushrooms, stirring well to coat evenly; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning if needed; add chili flakes if desired.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
