- 16 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted, plus more for greasing)
- 1 box yellow or lemon cake mix
- 1 can lemon pie filling (21 ounces)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and salt until smooth. Mix in the egg until well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the baking dish. Spoon half of the lemon pie filling over it.
- Sprinkle the entire box of cake mix on top without mixing.
- Drizzle remaining melted butter over the cake mix.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
