  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 46 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove any damaged outer leaves from the cabbage and slice it into 1-inch thick rounds.
  3. Arrange the cabbage slices on a lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Use a pastry brush to coat both sides of each cabbage slice with the garlic-oil mixture.
  6. Roast for 15 minutes at 425°F to create crispy edges.
  7. Reduce the temperature to 375°F (190°C) and continue roasting for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown and tender.
