Ingredients
- 1 pound dried spaghetti
- 0.75 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 12 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
- 0.33 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook spaghetti until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-low heat. Add garlic and sauté until golden brown (about 3 minutes).
- Stir in crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Toss the drained spaghetti into the pan with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to coat the noodles well.
- Remove from heat and mix in parsley, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese before serving.
