- 1 cup cold unsalted butter

- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pretzels
- 15 soft caramels (halved)
- Coarse sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cold butter until smooth.
- Add brown and white sugars; mix until creamy.
- Incorporate eggs and vanilla extract; blend until combined.
- Gradually mix in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until fully combined.
- Gently fold in milk chocolate chips and chopped pretzels.
- Prepare caramel pieces by halving them if necessary.
- Form cookie balls using two heaping tablespoons of dough, adding a caramel piece in the center before rolling into a ball.
- Place nine cookie balls on lined baking sheets and bake for about 8–12 minutes until golden.
- Sprinkle with coarse sea salt immediately after baking; let cool on the pan for five minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
