Ingredients
- 2 cups diced banana peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 heaping tsp minced garlic
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions, green peppers, and minced garlic; sauté until softened (5-7 minutes).
- Stir in ground turkey and cook until browned.
- Pour in chicken broth and evaporated milk; stir well.
- Mix in shredded parmesan cheese and cream cheese cubes until melted.
- Season with salt, black pepper, basil, oregano, and thyme; adjust to taste.
- Add uncooked orzo pasta; cook for about 10-12 minutes or until al dente.
