- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 medium ripe pears (peeled and diced (about 1 1/2 cups))
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin.
- In a bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture while alternating with milk; mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in diced pears using a rubber spatula.
- Divide batter into muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before serving.
