  • 3/4 cup heavy cream (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate, chopped (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs with vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract. Combine with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Divide the batter into cupcake liners and drizzle melted semi-sweet chocolate on top. Use a toothpick to create swirls.
  5. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling completely.
  6. For the filling, heat heavy cream until simmering and pour over chopped milk chocolate. Stir until smooth and cool before piping into cupcakes.
