Ingredients
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 2 cups sliced carrots
- 2 cups sliced sweet potatoes
- 2 cups diced apples
- 2 lbs ground lean turkey
- 3 Tbs tomato paste
- 3 cups crushed tomatoes
- 2 tsp chili powder
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add sliced carrots, sweet potatoes, and diced apples; season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sage, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in ground turkey; cook until browned and no longer pink (5–7 minutes).
- Add tomato paste and chili powder; mix well.
- Incorporate crushed tomatoes; stir thoroughly.
- Reduce heat to low-medium and simmer for 20–30 minutes. If using kidney beans, add them just before serving.
