  • 2 cups sliced carrots

  • 2 lbs ground lean turkey
  • 3 Tbs tomato paste
  • 3 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp chili powder

Instructions

  2. Add sliced carrots, sweet potatoes, and diced apples; season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sage, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in ground turkey; cook until browned and no longer pink (5–7 minutes).
  4. Add tomato paste and chili powder; mix well.
  5. Incorporate crushed tomatoes; stir thoroughly.
  6. Reduce heat to low-medium and simmer for 20–30 minutes. If using kidney beans, add them just before serving.
