Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
- 7 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup fruit juice or broth (as a Vanilla substitute)
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 8 ounces toffee chips
- 1/2 cup pecan pieces (chopped small)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add melted butter, fruit juice or broth, egg, and vanilla; mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in toffee chips and pecans.
- Refrigerate dough for at least two hours before scooping onto prepared sheets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden around edges; cool on wire racks.
