  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup fruit juice or broth (as a Vanilla substitute)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces toffee chips
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces (chopped small)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add melted butter, fruit juice or broth, egg, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in toffee chips and pecans.
  5. Refrigerate dough for at least two hours before scooping onto prepared sheets.
