Ingredients
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole-rolled old-fashioned oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 35 caramel squares
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter. Add brown sugar and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
- Mix in flour, oats, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- Spread half of the mixture into the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt caramels with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the baked base, then pour caramel sauce on top.
- Crumble the remaining mixture over the caramel layer and bake for an additional 15-18 minutes.
- Let cool completely before slicing into squares.
