- 3/4 cup light brown sugar (165g)
- 1/3 cup mashed ripe banana (80ml)
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (215g)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips (125g)
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts (50g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add mashed banana, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips and walnuts gently.
- Scoop mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for about 10 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
