- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted) for topping
- ½ cup granulated sugar for topping
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray an 8½ x 4½-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures until just incorporated; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan evenly.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to parchment paper.
- Brush the warm bread with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar topping.
