  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth; mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir gently until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the banana batter into the pan; sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Spread cream cheese filling over the first layer; top with remaining banana batter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
