Ingredients
- 1 package (about 14.1 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, cut into sticks
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Unfold the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll into a rough rectangle if needed.
- Cut each sheet lengthwise into three strips for a total of six strips.
- Place one piece of chocolate near the short end of each strip and roll tightly to form croissants.
- Place each croissant seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Whisk together the beaten egg and water for the egg wash; brush evenly over each croissant.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
