- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 3 large eggs

- 1 cup baking cocoa (sifted)
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking cocoa, baking soda, and salt until blended.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients with buttermilk until just combined. Fold in pudding mix and chocolate chips gently.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before preparing the ganache by melting butter, water, and chocolate chips together; mix in vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar.
- Spread ganache over cooled cake.
