- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee granules (for frosting)
- 2–4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream (for frosting)
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8-inch baking dish.
- Melt the unsalted butter and allow it to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder; gradually add this to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Spread the brownie batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- For the frosting, combine instant coffee granules with heavy cream in a small bowl; set aside.
- Beat unsalted butter until fluffy; gradually add powdered sugar while mixing until smooth. Incorporate the coffee cream mixture to achieve desired consistency.
- Frost cooled brownies generously and cut into squares before serving.
