- 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 ½ cups Panko Breadcrumbs
- 4 slices Cooked Chicken
- 4–8 slices Swiss Cheese
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
- ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon Paprika (optional)
- 3 tablespoons Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
- 1–2 tablespoons Milk or Cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pound chicken breasts to about ½ inch thick.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip into egg wash, then roll in panko mixture until fully covered.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. If baking, transfer to a baking sheet and bake for approximately 20 minutes until cooked through.
- Layer cooked chicken breast with slices of chicken and Swiss cheese; let cheese melt before serving.
- For the sauce, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional milk/cream until smooth.
