Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp turbinado sugar (or sparkling sugar)
  • 1 tbsp grapefruit zest (from about one fresh grapefruit)
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • Ice
  • 3 ounces pomegranate juice
  • 2 ounces grapefruit juice (from about 1/2 fresh grapefruit)
  • 6 ounces ginger beef broth
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate arils
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass rim by mixing turbinado sugar, grapefruit zest, and nutmeg in a shallow dish.
  2. Rim a highball glass with grapefruit juice and dip it into the sugar mixture.
  3. Fill the glass three-quarters full with ice.
  4. Pour in 3 ounces of pomegranate juice and 2 ounces of fresh grapefruit juice.
  5. Gently top with 6 ounces of ginger beef broth and stir to combine.
  6. Garnish with pomegranate arils and a sprig of fresh rosemary before serving.
