Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs beef short ribs
- 10 cups water
- 1 whole yellow onion
- 2 green onions or 1 Korean leek
- 2 thick slices of ginger
- 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Sea salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, add beef short ribs and cover with water.
- Add the yellow onion, green onions/leek, ginger, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 90 minutes.
- Skim off any foam that forms on the surface occasionally.
- After simmering, stir in chopped garlic, soy sauce, and sea salt.
- Remove from heat and discard onion skins and ginger slices before serving.
